Here is the card that I made to take to convention. I am thrilled that I was able to make 72 cards! I will post some of my favorites! So something kind of funny….I had this post all ready to go except for the picture. Now I sit down to finish up and I have everything packed, including all these cards…deep in the back of the van…in a box…in the bottom of the cooler… So… I happened to keep this one. The cards for convention are the same with the exception of the embellishments. I used the Black/Grey sparkles instead of the bubbles that you see here.
Supplies used: Pirouette stamp set, Hello Blooms stamp set, Slate Ink, Art Philosophy Cricut Collection, Whisper Cardstock, Black & Grey Assortment Sparkles, and Slate Satin Polka-Dot Ribbon.
For some of the cards I used up the rest of my Grey Flannel Cardstock. It is a similar light grey to the new Whisper.
I didn’t realize until half way through that I could have saved some paper with this project. I cut the 12×12 sheets of grey to use as card bases. What I later discovered is that even though the Pirouette shape didn’t quite fit on the scrap I had leftover, it was enough since I was cutting part of it off the edge of the card anyway. I finished the rest of the cards this way and was able to make a few more than I would have otherwise. When I attached the stamped Pirouette image, I let it fall off the edge of the card, then I used my Cutterpede trimmer to cut off the excess. This worked perfectly because I could butt the edge of the card right up to the blade and cut it straight, much faster than trimming with scissors.
